These days, more and more people are looking into starting a home based business via the Internet. The Internet has given more people than have ever had it before the opportunity to open up their own business, become their own boss, and become financially independent. But the fact is, 97% of all home based businesses fail or never grow into anything more than a part-time job that pays little. What is the reason for this? It might sound like all magic and romance to start your own home based business, and if it's successful then that's what it is. But how can you become one of the three percent who actually get to that level? You have to be one of the people with a plan.

A new marketing idea should always be tested out first before you make it a full-force effort.

In the next stage of planning, figure out how to create a front-end product. This will be like your flagship product, the one that gets people buzzing about you. However, its true intention is more than just that. It is used to set up people to buy more products from you. Your front-end product will probably be one of your most competitively priced products, whereas the other products can be rarer or of a higher quality that justifies upselling. For instance, maybe an e-book that you sell for $47 sets the stage for a customer to buy a DVD that goes into more intricate detail and costs twice as much.

Finally, your website itself needs to be user friendly, easy to navigate, attractive, dynamic, and feature convenient and secure methods of purchasing from you. People need to feel like they are doing business with someone who is intelligent, professional, and courteous. This is the way to get the repeat business and referrals you need to make your Internet business a success.
